As a therapist I do not provide 24-hour emergency coverage. I am usually not immediately available by telephone. I check my messages regularly during business hours and will make every effort to return your call within 24- 48 hours, apart from weekends and holidays.

If you are unable to reach me and feel that you can’t wait for me to return your call, contact your family physician or the nearest emergency room and ask for the psychologist [psychiatrist] on call. Other crisis resources that are staffed 24/7 include: The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255 and the Crisis Text line --text the letters “M” “N” to the number 74174.
